Data Science and Big Data Technology
The major of data science and big data technology and big data technology adheres to the national big data development strategy, serves the overall goal of constructing the world-class group of modern textile disciplines and new engineering in our university, adheres to the culture concept of heavy foundation, strong practical, wide caliber, focus on development trend of data science and big data technology, fully embodies the characteristics of interdisciplinary and integration. To train applied professionals with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics who can provide enterprises and institutions with information collection and integration of mass data management, data mining, knowledge discovery, analysis, decision-making and other solutions.
Students of this major systematically learn the basic theories and knowledge of mathematical statistics, computer science, data science and big data technology, master the basic skills of data management, analysis and excavation. In the related fields of big data, students have certain innovation practice ability, have the quality and ability to be engaged in Internet enterprises, financial institutions, social management institutions, government agencies and public institutions, large state-owned enterprises and foreign enterprises and other related work.

The length of schooling of this major is four years, and the degree of Bachelor of Engineering will be awarded after graduation.
